" We were the number one Anacortes band in the 1960’s, and after a 50-year hiatus pursuing solo music careers, we have reformed! Joined by local drummer Braydn Krueger (Lonely Forest), Utopian Monk play a wide variety of tunes for both listening and dancing, but our basic style is raw country and Texas roots music, played in the tradition of the great Texas storytellers. We play music by Lyle Lovett, Glen Campbell, Guy Clark, Vince Gill and Alison Krauss - as well as hits by Tom Petty, Jackson Browne and The Rolling Stones, and a few original tunes thrown in."
